I spent 4 days polishing the top of my 24 ft wing. That was a lot of work. I bought a cheap orbital buffer at Walmart and some poly terry cloth towels at Walmart and some aluminum polish in a small jar at Walmart andNAPA and also used Nev-r-dull. I also have an air powered rotary buffer . This wing was out in the weather but it amazingly polished up pretty nice. There are few blemishes where the tie down straps dug into the aluminum a bit when it was hauled here from San diego.
The wing is for the 24 ft Gull 2000 I have . I have a Gull 2000 with an 20 ft wing ready to fly so will fly it pretty soon..I test flew my Ridge Runner 1 today but it was gusty and bumpy. 5000 rpm=70mph 5500=75 full throttle 6000 rpm=95 but all the windows rattle bad at that speed. Stall was 35 ias flaps up couldn't tell flaps down too bumpy. It is short coupled and squirrely so I'm looking forward to fly tri gear for a while, much easier less chance ground looping..Ill post some photos in the gallery.

Re: polish the wing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I used Nev-r-Dull and some paste polish from NAPA, white, and some paste polish from Walmart and a cheap 10" Walmart orbital polisher and I also have an air powered rotary 10" buffer and lots of synthetic clothes from Walmart(cheap). It was still a lot of work...I painted the bottom of the wing white because it had too many blemishes but it got a real thin coat almost too thin.
I have the 24ft wing Gull2000 on Barnstormers but I think I will pull the add and just keep the plane. I like it and it is starting to look really nice!!!!!

I can't recommend the Cyclo Orbital Polisher enough. This is the tool Airstream trailers, many Auto detailing and the airlines use for polishing both metal and paint.
I know that the job can be done with a 7" or 10" polisher, but the chances for doing damage are always there, including burn through and other mistakes. Those are virtually impossible with the Cyclo. You can even use it one handed, it's balanced so well.
Check out some videos on youtube and you'll see what I mean.
I know it looks expensive, but after all of the money you spent building that beautiful wing, I think it's worth it. Plus you'll be polishing it many more times after the plane is completed.
