Mine has got the 20’ wing, and it is hangared in Arlington, Washington (state), about an hour north of Seattle.

Hi Carl and all,Mine is Gull2000 with 20ft wing. Soon it will be hangared at W90. Now it is at 7VG0. I want to learn to fly it. (I have a CFI who will ferry it to W90.) Great specs and I so admire the work of MBierle. I have some ideas (from reading the rules) about getting a sign off for a single seat experimental.  I have about 50 hrs over 3 yrs with senior CFI in Cessna 150 and maybe 20 hrs in a J-4. I began this journey interested in ultralights: such as Kolb Firefly and Belite. I have not yet flown Belite but it is 103 type and a senior pilot has flown it and says it flies fine. Now onto the Gull2000 love affair: I had Christmas in June yesterday when I received a 4lb package of materials from the previous owner. I now have articles, manuals, and even some correspondence from MBierle to RonNoland dated 2001. Carl, come to W90 sometime and I will show you around the land of Rucker Tibbs. I wish I could go to Santa Margureta CA and learn with MBierle. More as we go.Tommy

Gary, your time in the C-150 will pay-off hugely in learning to fly the Gull 2000. Other than the engine in the back and lack of a horizontal cowl surface to peer over, and a right hand stick vs a left hand yoke, the in-flight characteristics and operating speeds are similar. I owned a C-150 for about 12 years, (about 17 years ago now), and take my BFR in a friends C-150. What I find is that the C-150 feels heavier in the flight controls, is a bit more ponderous, and floats longer in the landing phase. When I get back in the Gull, it feels like a sports car again. you will love the flight, and they are just fun to fly, and every landing is a challenge to get it just perfect and roll the wheels on. Enjoy your ride, you won’t be dissapointed!
