Hmmm . . . . . . , very different and just looks wrong! But maybe this is a sample of more exotic engines to come.

Agree, how would you ever seal it, the cylinder is spinning relative to the head, where the highest pressures are seen. The similar ones like the dyna-cam that aren’t spinning the motor like the Gnome would seem to make a lot more sense...

Liquid Piston is pretty good; power density of 3.3kW/kg and 50% sustained efficiency; worked on by Dr. Alexander Shkolnik for eleven years now, his father's idea; it also had a sealing challenge, solved now (reminds me of thee famous Alex Strojnik)
