Hi Mark,

Did you upload a picture of it? the sketch itself looks really neat, seems like the lower wing would've ben 3ft off the ground. was it a two seater? was it a real laminar flow fuselage? unable to make out the shape of the cowling in the back. how would it compare with today's Odyssey, neck to neck? what is your openeon of a double box tail configuration, like this synergyaircraft.com prototype?

Hi Rahul
I just sent out 3 pictures.
I will have to find one of it in its hay day.
The lower wing is about 18" off the ground, it is a single seater. No
laminar on the fuselage just a simple tubing structure coverd with a fiberglass
nose cone and an aluminum belly skin and fabric covering like the other
planes that I was making at the time, Laughing Gull.
The cowl was sheet metal and fared nicely in to the spinner.
The Odyssey is a practical and good performing larger airplane. My opinion
on the double box wing is that the vertical sections are related to
directional control and directional stability needs and the rear half of the box
wing horizontal acts as the tail. It looks cool but would not be the
approach that I would take if I were designing to those specks.

Dear Mark,

The pictures came out great. is that the DUC Swirl on the eGull!? does the black box hold the batteries? waiting for the video like your german friend made landing on the hill straight into garage! solar cells on the wing would quite a cats meow, what do you think?

am really curious if you would design an Ultra Gull v2 again? maybe with the electric, the wings will be less staggered. maybe with a longer fuselage instead of the back wing on a smaller boom and half rudder like support. what were the stall and landing speeds of 20ft Ultra Gull?
