ultralight rules

Post by maishalabe »

I hasten to make clear my sincere desire to fly as an ultralight, but as previously stated, not without certain assurance's .
Further, due to my decreasing flexibility and mobility a gull 2000/soaring gull seems much better suited than proceeding with the unstarted Onex kit i have had for some time.

You have a Onex kit? One of my flying bud’s has a completed tail group of a Onex, but got bumped from about #34 to get the rest of the kit to about #350 something because he split up a kit or something like that, and didn’t order the whole thing together. Anyways, he’s changed his mind and want’s to build something else. And your concern about liability insurance and ultralights, seems to me that if it’s legal, then it’s legal. I’m sure Mark can help keep a Gull 2000 light enough to be an ultralight, and flown like one. The neat thing is that they are easily upgraded to LSA with bigger motors and more toys. Mine all slicked-up with the 503 easily cruises at 95-100 mph, and you can get to places in about the same time as a Cessna 150, and faster than a Piper Cub. Lot’s of bang for the buck here.
