ufo chitchat
Hi Mark,
last month, it was a space object termed omuamua, that came in vertical from the solar system plane close to sun, was a text only report from univ of hawaii.
now pentagon released a fuzzy gray scale ufo video from a fighter jet in the day time, over the sea near san diego; amphibious, quiet, oval, way faster then the jets. feels unusual because the article talks about air traffic control tracking it off and on for a couple weeks, and still no questar type, telescope cameras were on board.
then someday in between, i woke up with this dream of an alien ship still fresh. headlights turned on in dark deepspace, felt like the ship indicated they would be turned on near jupiter, waay brighter than sirius, when they do come, as a courtesy to avoid sudden surprises.
so what do thundergull pilots think about these UFOs and things?

Re: ufo chitchat
There are no UFOs. Anything unexplainable will eventually get explained
(weather, DOD, private, etc).
Wormholes are fiction - visitors from outer space would still have to
travel at or below the speed of light. And even if any did make the trip,
it would be highly unlikely to happen during our lives - civilizations like
ours come and go in a flash compared to astronomical time scales.
Science fiction and conspiracy theories are entertaining and can serve as a
mirror to our own societies. But they are fiction.
You asked!

Re: ufo chitchat
Hi guys
I thank that we are looking at the universe for the first time in our short life on an evolutionary scale.
With little regard for things we don't yet understand. Yet our egos and our genetic propensity to take a snapshot and come to a conclusion quickly in order to save our life by quickly reacting to a perceived threat. Limits our ability to understand new inputs.
It seems ludicrously negligent to assume that there is no other life out there and that we, who have only just entered space, should think that we know all the limits to travel that a more advanced civilization has been working on for possibly, millions of years more than we have.
It is always impossible to see the future because we are not there yet.
On the other hand. All our improvements are the product of our critical thinking proven by testing. To build our understanding
And fly over our former fears and mis conceptions.
To believe in something turns off the critical thinking. Something that a scientist can not afford to do!
I am interested in opening up our minds to the possibilities that are only available to an open mind.
In 1974 I saw an electric plane with lead acid battery's. It flew but was not at all practical. But battery's didn't stay in that form and now there still improving and have 4 times the power to weight that they had in 1975 and can fly for over an hr.
Had we decided that, "There is the known and the un knowable and it is a wast of time to try something new" we would still be naked and livening outdoors and be eating only what we find.
But once we look with an open mind we solve problems that our father and mother and brother thought was impossible.
Happy Flying,
Mark

Whoa wait a minute Martin! What makes you think out of the vastness of the universe there is nothing else out there? Personally I find it heart warming the creator has made others way more advanced than we are or at least way more advanced in space travel as if I thought we were the best the creator could do I would be an agnostic but not worry about my soul as I have had personal experience in observing their space craft and they are so more advanced than us our space travel compares to Cave men. My father was in the space program from early on and I have live out in New Mexico, California, and all the 1960s at Cape Canaveral and got to tell you your all wet in your contention they can't travel faster than the speed of light. If fins your remarks humorous!
I am one if the few father / son teams who have observed them as my father was an aerospace engineer of rare caliber, actually one in a million as my father was responsible for the first successful launch of America'S first IBM and uniquely qualified to confirm my sighting of the extraterrestrial spacecraft. We observed it travel from a NW vector to the extent SE vector, stop on a dime and we observer ed the identical light array. By the way it crossed horizonS at least 10 time faster than a shooting star. Tie that observation with my father's earlier sighting of one out in the dessert out by Holliman AFB in the daytime at 200 yds hovering 3 ft of the ground and perhaps you will get an appreciation how much you sound like someone who doesn't know better! By the way my sighting was August, at night 1969.
So there you go, now you kniw!
Good day!

Re: ufo chitchat
Well, that blew some life into our forum!
There is no question in my mind that there is other "intelligent" life out
there, and lots of it. But I balk at the idea that interstellar travel
faster than light is possible, or feasible. The sheer size, in space and
time, of our universe makes it mathematically so improbable that we'll ever
physically intersect with an extraterrestrial life form that one is better
off conducting one's life assuming it won't happen. Apart from physical
contact (UFOs), our best hope is to pick up some form of communication. And
maybe someday we'll find evidence of extraterrestrial life that is long
gone, or emerging (Titan? Europa?) - even that would be very cool!

Re: ufo chitchat
As we all know humans have just started to scratch the surface with regard to our knowledge of ourselves, the planet and the universe. The breakthroughs that are unfolding daily are astounding. Quantum Physics is one example that I find fascinating. It can explain many things like religion, ghosts and UFOs. Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying that there is no high power that is controlling many things, it just might not be what we have made it out to be. The human mind needs to have an explainable answer to everything we do not understand. So we make something up. It also has worked very well to control the masses. Just my opinion.

Re: ufo chitchat
The first intercontinental ballistic missle was the Minuteman! That's the one I was trying to mention in my abbreviation in my post about my dad being responsible for the first successful launch.
But that's another story just qualified my expert witness who confirmed my extra terrestrial sighting.

Re: ufo chitchat
And power? I grew up with early solar cells, in fact I have finger prints on the moon because I built and critically tested solar power sources on the first hard landers on the moon. Thanks to my company job with ITT Industrial Products in L.A. with JPL as their customer. What I was amazed at was that all this sun power falling on the ground, rocks, trees water, etc., has billions of solar energy collection availabile if it could be gathered and stuffed into the power grid, that was in 1962. Fast forward 57 years and look what we have. Sorry, just rambling again.
By the way, I have a challenge out there for any 503 powered ultralight/light sport airplane built from a kit or plans, not a one of a kind, come fly with me and Mark’s little Blue Streak. I fly fly one of the best small engine, clean airframes out there, and my slightly modified smoothness of the fuselage. His planes rock for the value, meanwhile sometimes a copycat airplane owner will flip me stuff. Thanks Mark for the gift of fast light flight.
