odyssey main wheelbase width

Post by rahulchoudhary73 »

Hi,

what's the width of the odyssey's main wheels base?

what's the elevator width? (gull's are 102" if i recall correctly)

is the elevator detachable for storage? (just to confirm)

been thinking of a ~4' wide basement ramp, with a 1:2 grade (~26°) for storage and work.

Thanks,
rahul

60 in on the outsides of the weeks.
The horizontal stabilizer width in 88 in and is removable with a lot of effort.

And if you do remove the stabilizer, don't loose the cables in the tube.
You won't be happy. -Alan ;)

Have a helper and tag or label the cables.

Just make sure they are secured so they don't "crawl" up into the tail boom -__-

(odyssey would head into a regular 9' wide garage aperture, onto a 14° covered slope with ample aprons to soften slope, into a semi basement ~3' deep. just had to investigate this 4'-ramp-to-basement option. was stuck early last year, with US car ramp laws (<=1:6(~9°) for a fully covered half deck ramp), tight space and the raised roof section above the garage that complicates the facade and floorplan. now i have to figure out "overflow" outlet for a large rainwater cistern under the basement... so thinking goes on and on. say hyou guys done manual counterweight diy systems? like for a garage door, dumb waiter, etc)

Hi Mark,

are there any special structural elements built into the concrete floor or roof of your factory?

there are two at least that come to my mind, though am not architect or factory owner yet.
a. one girder, I-beam which can be used as a hoist.
b. any special fasteners built into the concrete for heavy tools
c. noticed a heavy metal eye built into the floor of this car workshop. owner explained to my how they use it to stretch cars for repairs that have crumpled after an impact. he said some have front wheels that get pushed by like 4"+ in side impacts. there's a chain and heavy screw at the other end.

Best regards,
rahul

Rahul, I see your on the site a lot. Do fly or plane to build one of our aircraft? We are sharing information to keep our birds in the air and safe, that’s why we have this site. It’s hard working getting a plane together and maintaining it. If your not a pilot but just a curiosity shopper, this site is not for you.
