Hi All, I am new to this group but have been a member of various yahoo groups on small 4 stroke engines and want to know the specs of the zero motorcycle eGull and would appreciate it if Mark or someone else can help,
This is what I have so far on Powertrain,
1. Zero FX 44HP motor@ 30lbs, Max RPM 3700
2. Prop size:
3. Maximum takeoff power and for how long:
4. Weight: 170 lbs (two battery packs are 42 lbs each and even with the controller and charger the weight is <135 lbs so what am I missing?)
5. Continuous power: 7KW (Is this correct?)
6A: Price: FX motorcycle is $12k with two battery pack
6B: Price: FX powertrain from Zero is $8500 but they wont sell to individuals
6C: Price: How much is the powertrain price from Earthstar?
7. Is the Rotax b gearbox the final version of the reduction ratio or a belt drive is planned?
8. Is there a complete kit pricing for the eGull and if so what is the break down?
I know these are lots of questions but I though just numbering them will be easy for folks to answer. Once I have these, I would like to get to the eGull performance specifications but I do not want to clutter this already cluttered and long post.
Thanks in anticipation,
Rahul

Re: eGull powerplant specs!
zero's high end spec was a gating issue for me for further Qs last month; it's a relief to see it in institutional hands only, like patrol cops retaining an edge; looking at the phone on the handle made me worry about the internals (controller hacks few years down the line, a sudden acceleration in a turn on a two wheeler in traffic. just sharing my initial thoughts)

Thank you! would we be seeing a Zero 73HP eOdyssey version soon? two seater airtime is a must

Re: eGull powerplant specs!
being practical, that's all; the higher hp rating news is awesome (thought had read some years ago, about how air cooled electric engines had an upper limit of ~50)

Re: eGull powerplant specs!
Congratulations!
(e)Odyssey feels cozier; and stabler in crosswinds; can wait a little longer for the plane
do remember Mark mentioning some years ago, that an electric's ~50hp would perform kinda like a combustion engine's ~80hp; when torque, streamlining, weight redistribution, less vibrations etc get factored in
