Seems to be a problem posting to yahoo groups. Hopefully working now.
Any idea on ballast required for the 28 ft eGull I am building with full (170 lb) battery? Using oratex and no paint and generally building light. But will be carrying a zero 'offboard' charger onboard.
Thx

Re: ballast
Just get the weight and balance arms from Mark. Should have enough nose ballast to keep the nose on the ground. Mines about 16 lbs empty on the nosewheel for the 20’ wing Gull 2000. Gotta do the numbers, difficult, but a must.

Re: ballast
If you haven't built the airplane, do actual measurements of wing leading
edge. They may not match Mark's standards.

Re: ballast
Hmm. It appears many of my posts are not arriving or getting through very late.
Thanks to all your responses. I posted a detailed reason why had asked the question but because of yahoo uncertainty will rephrase my question simply to ask...
What is a typical minimum ballast I should expect?
Thanks,
