Two added conveniences.
I just uploaded some pictures of two mods that I added to my JT2 that you may be interested in.
One is a door prop. I got the idea from Gregster the flyer, who is part of our group. He made his from lexan.
The other mod are nice looking door locks from home depot.I think I heard of this idea from another group. I read that if you go through the whole bin at home depot you can find identical keys. I couldn't find one so I have two keys. No big deal.
Hope this may be helpful to some of you. That door prop is the cats meow.

Re: Two added conveniences.
Yup, I got my replacement door lock at my local Ace Hardware, and it is a file cabinent or drawer lock. Came with two keys so I have a spare, and was only about 4 or 5 bucks. It's got a nice little arm that turns with the key so it's easy making the door stop when installing.

Hi Fred,
Lovely ideas and beautiful pictures. Gull closeups really make you sigh over
the sleek lines and finish. how old is your JT2 actually? do you have
antiglare on the windows? what's a cats meow in this context?

Hi Rahul
Thanks for the compliment. It is a beauty and as fast as it looks. From memory I believe it was made from a kit in 1994.It doesn't have anti glare windows. It doesn't need it.
A cats meow is an expression like.
"Sweet" or "Awesome" or "Slick" or "Perfect" or "Icing on the Cake"

Re: Two added conveniences.
Mark,
Your still coming to Arlington aren't you? I'm spiffing my plane up to be judged this year. I just got my spinner and wheel pants cleaned up and primed. We are thinking about a fly-by during the airshow, since all LSA is going to have to use 34/16, and not the ultralight runway. We have 5 airplanes in our gang now that are Gulls, or Gull-like airplanes.

Re: Two added conveniences.
Yes I will be there.
I cant believe that they wouldn't let Registered ultralights use the
ultralight runway!!!
Give me the contact number so we can petition our needs.
Thanks
