John,

I have flown so much (over 230 hours) and recorded the fuel usage for many trips, that I believe the 2.5 GPH or LESS. I always fly at max continuous HP by the way, so I wouldn't call myself a fuel miser.

As for my weight, I have a 24' wing on a J2 with all aluminum wings, a lead acid battery, Azusa brakes and wheels, 6 ply tires, carpet, HKS 700e, and the Titan tank. I weigh about 475# dry.

I will get some pics to you.

Best regards,

I indicate 95 MPH near sea level (it drops with altitude) up to say 2500 feet. on a cool day. I'm burning at about 1400 on EGT's, and I have an exhaust that flows very well. I have gear leg fairings and no wheel fairings. My prop is set to do about 5400 at static run-up.

My aircraft is about 500 lbs empty. I have a 26 ft speed wing (extra
strength for a higher VNE, which I never get close to), so my wing is
really heavy.

There is no way that you will burn 3.2 gph, I use 2.5 if I am pushing it hard.

standees, ees, stand at ease, Attention!
(offtopic)

Maaark, you could easily land on this waarschip while moving like a heli. can we see a gull landing on USS Makin Island (Capt. Mark Melson) or USS Somerset? they're all back to camp pendleton after a long stint. families getting a tiger cruise on them. imagine, gulls on a San antonio class waarschip, and it's yet another aircraft carrier..

even stanford students get to hang out with navy seals at the camp these days, part of hacking4defense univ projects KYC. why should'nt you? ;)
