Happy New Year!! Some urgent help needed, please.

I left my Earthstar DVD at home before leaving for Malaysia. Now I urgently need some help to clip out the 5+ minute segment at the end of the DVD where Mark and his assistant show how to do the Wing Removal. I discussed some months back with Mark and he has no problem doing this, but he is not fluent with digital media.

Can someone please volunteer to help me with this? Urgently needed to prepare for shipping an Odyssey by container.

Here is how to do in just a few minutes.
1- Download the free VLC Media Player and install.

2- Play the Earthstar DVD using VLC Media Play and hop over to the last segment where the Wing Removal is demonstrated.
3- In VLC, select the menu item VIEW and then select ADVANCED CONTROLS.
4- At the bottom left, 4 buttons appear. Press the little RED BUTTON to begin recording. Play the movie for this short segment and then stop recording.
5- After recording, stop and save the file. Share the link via Dropbox or other means. Contact me through the member list private mail feature.

It’s actually quite easy, but takes two people. Start by removing the flap pivot bolts at the flap end of the push rod on each side. I would remove the push rod at the fuselage shaft also as it will be dangling. Then inside the cockpit you have to reach up in the hole where the aileron push rod fits and remove the bolt off the arm inside to free the ailerons. Disconnect any connectors for wing lights, then remove the four wing attachment bolts. They fit tight, and sometimes you have to have the other person wiggle the wing tip to aid removing them and re-installing. The wing should lift off then.

Yikes! Did not realize that such digital media might be available to answer a myriad of questions I have about trying to rehab my older model. How can I get a copy of this? I have been bashing my brains out trying to figure out many systems with little or no response from Mark on my direct questions. Thanks to anyone who might be able to assist.

Kess -- Thanks. A picture is worth a thousand words. Hoping some kind soul will help with the clip. Won't take much more than 15 to 20 minutes. Santa will remember next year this act of kindness!

Scott -- The DVD won't help with builder questions / modifications / repairs / etc. It is a promotional video that shows the various Earthstar models in flight and in taxi / take off / landing clips. It is persuasive for anyone who thinks these airplanes are less than capable. The owner of my flight school with 30+ years in GA and multiple ratings including the Citation and heavy jets, changed his mind about the Odyssey after watching Mark put the plane through its paces.

Don't sweat the wing removal, it's a simple job. But I will work on capturing the video for you. I just don't have much time available right now.

Should have added that for your purposes, you need the Builder's Manuals. They are available in hard copy form only and can be purchased directly from Mark.

I need the video clip with some urgency for assisting in the quote for containerizing the Odyssey. So better to hand this over to a helpful forum member. Your time is needed for customers and building aircraft. Thanks RMM
