Can someone please provide a link to a video that clearly depicts a person getting in/out of the aircraft.
I have been unable to find one that clearly shows that.

seen many but yet to see one like that. one would bow deep like the Japanese courtesy, take little steps forward, almost kneel on one leg and slip into the easy chair. would take a little practice, but then like a lion on all fours would be more fun with kids :)

Entry into my Gull 2000 is not graceful, as it involves reaching in to the far longeron under the right side of the seat with my right hand to support swinging my butt into the seat. Then I do the control stick dance to get my right foot and leg over the stick to the rudder pedal. The left foot just steps in. Once in, the plane is very roomy and comfy. Like an old Volkswagen, it seems much bigger inside than standing outside. Still the best buy for the buck and tons of fun, and can keep up with small Cessna’s

Hi Kess
Just sit down, than lift your left leg and spin around to the left, leg over the stick and than bring your right leg in.
Don't try to put your left foot in first.

The Gull sits very low on its gear, the door is large and opens wide, there
is no wing strut in the way, and the door sill is only a few inches above
the seat, so plopping in butt-first is fairly easy. I found getting out
more difficult. Mark, I wonder if it would help less flexible pilots if
there were a handle under the wing, out of the way of the open door, that
one could grab while sitting down, and while getting out? The added drag
could be minimized by choosing a good shape.
I have not installed the door hinge on my eGull yet, so I cannot test that
idea.

Thank you all for responding to my inquiry about entry/exit .
A suggested grab handle [or two] and a removable control stick seem most workable.
The Aerolite company owner made a 15-20 second video of the "ACT" and sent it to me [confirming my suspicions of unsuitability].
Perhaps those of you who posses them hot dang gee whiz new fangled widgets that takes them moving photo gravures i heared about, might be gracious enough to do the same?
I wonder if Alexander Graham Bell would be amazed along with his fellow members of the [A.E.A.] Aerial Experimental Association that he founded in 1907?
And NO! i was not a member.

If you are available to go to a fly in such as the Sun N Fun or Oshkosh Airventure there may be a version of the plane you are interested in there for you to "try on".

I had my plane out for a photo shoot, so I figured I'd make a few photos of
the entry / exit process. If the 7 photos I posted as attachments get lost,
trust me: entry and exit are quite easy. The handle I brought up will
probably not be necessary - with the low door sill it is like getting in
and out of a slightly lower lawn chair. It also helps that you can plant
your feet somewhat under the fuselage, for better "weight and balance". One
just has to bow forward while backing under the wing. The door is shaped in
such a way that your head passes under the highest point, and your feet
have plenty room to swing in. I also had no problem lifting my leg over the
stick. There is a lot of swiveling, though, so maybe a vinyl or leather
seat cover would help. I am 6 ft even and fit comfortably, and I don't
think I would have a problem even if I weighed well north of 200 pounds.

how absolutely charming, Martin. Always thought you were many decades younger. This gull build deserves a pretty woman's picture and a name like
"Flying Betsy" or something!

evading mr. flu last couple of days, came across this remarkable motor-generator, "Engiro RE 20-2", 20Kw, 32A, 70lbs!, 1.3 galleons/hr, wankel motor, marked for institutional queries only for now. Maybe Mark could ask. Guess it'll cost five digits easy as of now if at all, given the engine's price that's now commonly available as paragliding motors. it's still awhile to get to hybrid egulls, could be much earlier than waiting for 4hr endurance with next generation batteries. guess it's the car/uav markets that take their own sweet time before things like these become commonly available.
