Well Skot; in 1981 i rode Greyhound from CA.to Osh and started attending many fly-ins for many years,My last Osh was with my aging flight instructor [thirty five thousand flight hours and Quiet birdman] as co-pilot of an equally old Lockheed Electra jr.
About mid week, waking just before sunrise he sat on the edge of his dormitory bunk and looking forlornly up at me said "Lee if id'a known how old i was before i came i never would have come" AND NOW Skot! after 37 lifetime surgeries and surviving [so far] two incurable cancers i know exactly what he meant.
May Max Hartley still be loading his Stearman duster by the bagful and spraying glitter on the stars.
