Hello all,
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I am sure that those of you who are
friends of Thundergull Dave would want to know that he was admitted to Good
Samaritan Hospital in Portland on Sunday, March 20 because of a dislocated
hip.
At first he was scheduled for a hip replacement, but then they found severe
pulmonary emboli in both lungs, as well as an apparent gut blockage, so they
are taking care of those issues before any surgery can be done for his hip.
He is not in good shape, and his wife Roux specifically asked that friends
do NOT go to visit him. He also isn't ready for phone calls. Roux writes
that you can send a get-well message to him via snail mail, just address it
to his name, Unit 4SW, Room 481 at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital, 1015 NW
22nd Av, Portland, OR 97210. Or you can email messages to him via Roux -
she'll print them out and take them to him. Her e-mail address is
