Previous owner started to replace the windshield and it looks like he covered up where the forward "D" cell to fuselage straps attach to the fuselage. I cant tell by the photos in the builder\s manual...Can someone shed some light on this. I am pretty sure they bolt up to there someone has installed a large pop rivet. Ill include some photos.
Thanks, Mark Smith in Davenport, Wa.

Re: D cell to fuselage attach fitting??
All Gull 2000's are finished in varying ways. You have to be a bit creative when taking on somebody else's previous work. My d-cell has no straps to the windshield, and only one screw at the top of the fiberglass eyebrow to the wing. the top of the windshield attaches to the round piece that attaches to the fuselage tubing and bracket, and the bottom of the eyebrow to that. Come on over and look at our Gulls.

Re: D cell to fuselage attach fitting??
I figured this one out. I was thinking way too hard.......Now to locate and buy a windscreen to wing fairing.....

Re: D cell to fuselage attach fitting??
I dug up some photos of my "brow" fairing and related areas. The thickness
of the windshield produces the slot for the fairing. I decided to add a
couple ears to the wing / cabin gap seal at the intersection of the seal
and the windshield, for reinforcement.
Also included is a photo of my prop blade angle tool. Note the stick with
the blue line which I use to set each blade at the same angle of rotation.
