Thanks "asieman" for your response on the pros and cons of the T.G.
vs Titan. By the way, what is your gross weight and stall speed with
the 20' wings. Dan

When my gross wt is at 550 lbs, my stall is close to 30 mph with full
flaps. Can't really get accurate reading, cuz ASI doesn't read
accurately near stall. I have flown loose formation at 35 mph with a
single surface Quicksilver, airspeed reported by the Quick.

Let's see now. My Gull weighs 440# empty, plus
me at 220#, and 10 gallons of fuel, that's 720# gross,
very gross. How do you do it?

I'm even slightly heavier than Ron (just a hair mind you). My clean
stall is about 39, 1/2 flaps 37, and Full flaps 35-36. Still better
than the Titan, but not as good as you. Trying to figure the
difference in weight as well to the tune of @ 180 lbs. I am single
seat with an HKS (so engine could be a difference), have aluminum
wings (do you have fabric and whats the weight difference there),
have all fiberglass body (do you have fabric fuseloge - could be some
weight there), otherwise not sure how you can be so far below in
weight. Pretty clean otherwise as well.

I'm around 175-180lbs and have a 20' fabric wing and fuselage. Then
with 5 gal of fuel, I'm at 550#. No elec start, no bat, no chute, no
elec fuel pump, and no extra cushy interior. Plain - no frills.
Well, some frills, a C box, enclosed cabin, larger tires, and extra
foam in the seat for my bony ass.
