Jim--
On your Gull 2000 with its' straighter tail boom can you get enough
flare to do soft wheel landings?
Thanks
Greg

Hi Greg,
So far I have not had any problems at all. I usually approach at 55-
60 mph IAS to flare using 1/2 flaps with touchdown at about 40-45 IAS
(I stall between 36-39 depending on flap setting and prefer to keep
at least a 5 mph margin minimum at touchdown). The only way I would
think this would be a problem is if you flared high, bled the
airspeed and did not let the plane ease its way down a little before
holding the nose on the horizon. Even at this speed I can stop
quicker than most UL's out there.
