Ok Jim,

Just asking more questions. I hope you don't mind just trying to
update and old JT2 and considering the options for the panel. You
have the MicroAir 760. I like the idea of a good, compact radio
built into the panel..Do you like this radio and how does it perform?

Thanks again,

Mark

I really do like the MicroAir and it performs great. I can usually
talk with a lot people others are unable to communicate with so it
has ample power. I also like the fact it fits in a 2-1/4 slot, and
that its easy to switch between two channels (such as the airport
freq and the gab freq). If I was ever to need the transponder I
would consider it as well. I think its a good product.

Jim ,

What headset are you using with your Microair ? Apparently some of
the headsets don't combine well with Microair ( namely the British
Lynx which I use ) .

Thanks
Dan

Hey Dan,

I use an old David Clark headset (which is my old GA headset) and it
seems to work just fine. I even used this set when I had my
Challenger II and was operating off my handset as well. I keep
trying all the new stuff, but they just don't sound as good to me.
My headset is heavier than the new stuff out today. I like the
lightness of the new sets, but the sound is just better in this one I
have.
