A couple of years back at Oshkosh Airventure I remember going into the NASA display building (If I remember right) and there was a display there of a small very accurate wind tunnel. I remember thinking that anyone could build it. It was no toy. The demonstration was very percise. I did take some contact info but don't know what I did with it.
The fellow had a website.
Mark,you were there that year, did you by chance see it? It would be fun to experiment with something like that.

Yes I did go to the NASA booth every year that it was there .I am not sure
witch wind tunnel you are referring to I know I saw them all. I would do a
google search. But there are CFD programs that have ben programmed with the
whined tunnel tests and are a much more flexible and comprehensive test.
Also a lot less expensive than building a good windtunnel.Look up
Computational Fluid Dynamics.

Hi Mark
It was quite small. I think he was using a very large computer fan to move the air. He said that plans were available on some website. I will look around and may come across the information.
I added a picture in the Factory helps folder of a different way of making wheel pants where the wheel is part of the pants. Just thought it was interesting, don't know how efficient it would be.
