Mark :  Do you have Paul McDonalds email or web site ? Can't find him anywhere even on Google   Your information on him did not come through to the Earthstar-Yahoo site from your i-phone    Need Wheel pants for the JT2 mains which have a tire : 15x6.00-6    Nose gear wheel pant is optional.   The biggest speed improvement ,If I can get my fabricator to do it ,is the wing to fuselage  fairing as incorporated by the "Blue Streak".Cleaning that area up allows for some impressive gains.       Thanks,       Carl

Niice, what's he designing?

(off topic) did conceptualize one a couple months back, chainless elect semi recumbent with custom face geer in the front hub (like helicopter geering) with pedals, mono blade mounting for both large wheels, ~1000mpg; put it on hold for some year later..

My O my, is that a nickname for my blue Gull, the Blue Streak? Yes, it is fun keeping up with Cessna’s in the pattern, and going past Cubs and Champs like they were ultralights.

Has any one found a suitable size/price wheel pants from aircraft SpruceMy tire size on the JT2 thundergull is a tundra type tire 15x6.00-6the set I ordered are to small with an opening size too tight for the tire both inwidth and length.    They have a Gel coated fiberglass aero or flat design with an opening size of 8x15.75 .Is this a good fit or over kill    Carl

Kess:   The 5" wheel pants you suggested to fit over the 15x6.00-6 tiresare to tight in the width.I currently have the tires mounted on split rims and am using Hager disk brakes.  Do you use a different rim? I do like the fact that the wheel fairings are much lighter and a narrower profile would also be a bonus. Let me know what rims you use. Thanks,    Carl

I used the one piece spun aluminum wheels that came with
the Black Max disc brake set-up, and appear to be the same
ones that came with the plane when I bought it when it
still had the original drum brakes. I had to trim very
little to get the wheel inside. I will try and get some
pictures into my folder.
