Stabilator Cable Routing Location

On the Gull 2000 is the cable from the top of the stick that runs
through the pulley under the seat suppose to go under the cross brace
below the rear of the seat then up to the cable comb or straight to the
cable comb?

Thanks, I wonder why the previous owner has it under the cross brace?
