I think a lot of us at least knew of him. He sure liked to see how fast he could make his Bierle-Bird go.

Sorry to hear about Kess.
I will miss him!
And his enthusiasm about flying.
But he has left a trail in the sky that makes flying more fun for all to follow.

Happy Flying,
Mark

Wish Kess is in a Happy place.
He was the nicest virtual mentor wingman I ever had, would’ve been so much fun to meet. Took him for 60ish all these years, when he was 81 and looked 76. was picking up weight again after some painful snap in dentures procedure that tanked his appetite, and he switched to lots of merlot from some oxy painkillers. Tough to see him go this suddenly. I’ll be grateful if a pilot can put a print of this nestling dove by his memorial shelf at home.

Kess was so funny, he made streamlining in his Gull an obsession and in the end that Blue Streak would exceed the speed of heat!!!
