JT2 Control Surface Deflection

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to re-set the proper control surface deflections on my Laughing (Thunder) Gull JT2 to original spec's. I am at the end of my major upgrade and refit, and after re-riveting all my control surface hinges.

Offline... I received info about the elevators: 19 degrees up, and 11 degrees down.

Offline... This was expressed to me about the ailerons: "The aileron stops as the aileron spar contacts the rear spar. Both ailerons are connected together so the aileron that hits the spar also stops the aileron on the other side."

I can only find in the JT2 and Odyssey manuals reference to a 18 degree up measurement on the elevators, but nothing on the down measurement, and also none on the ailerons at all.

Any assistance with your known numbers would be appreciated.

Best Regards,

John Wanamaker

Hi John
Your airplane has a tail on it that was not designed
By me and there fore you will have to
Contact the original designer of your tail for
The deflection numbers.

Thanks Mark,

I am not looking for deflection numbers for the tail group or ailerons as built. As I was clearly asking for the numbers for any JT2.

Never mind…. Thanks for your help and assistance…. Much appreciated.

Best Regards,

John
