Man, that must be a sinking feeling watching a fire like that coming closer and closer. Someone must like you, Mark .... I have never seen jet powered planes deployed in firefighting before. That is pretty impressive. Do these fires happen often where you are?

Actually the feeling is relief that the big fire truck from the sky is descending on us and saving us from the flaming inferno.

Forest firefighters are so inspiring. Guess it'll take a couple decades at least for this level of organized relief to be available out here. read they have 4yr degree courses to manage Forests, fires and all. wonder if they have like 4wk training programs for citizens, more intensive than usual firedrills..
