Earthstars at Sun N Fun 2016

Greetings Earthstar Folks,
My fellow Luscombe pilot (a flight of two Luscombes) and I are traveling back to Wisconsin from Sun N Fun, right now waiting for weather to pass.
On the last day we saw Mark Beierle fly a Gull with HKS (just before sunset). Later spotted a Odyssey HKS and the Gull parked. I did not know he was there until then. I'm wondering if he flew one of them to SNF from CA again?

The Odyssey is owned by a friend, John Karevoll, who bases the plane at Redlands,CA. They made the flight in 5 days with good weather all the way. Not so lucky returning I'm afraid. Storms forecast all week across their route.

Yes I did fly the yellow Gull 2000 from CA along with John Karevoll in his Odyssey, and Dave Lively flew his 912 s powered Odyssey from Slidell Louisiana.

Niice, hope one dint land on the esteemed pilot's nose. a hornet went wild today as i unfurled an oold tent sized olive green raincoat to wash, felt Laki I got it first; wonder it's color or pheromones

what's the inspiration behind this gull's color code? German yellowjacket? (just imagined one came closer and thee repainted)
