Deluxe seat cover

Hey Gary,
I was cruising the photo's, and I noticed the very nice seat covers on picture 'ody3'. Are they leather or vinyl look-like-leather. Sure look nice, and my cloth one is showing wear after 325 hours and 10 years. Time to upgrade after my other projects. I saw another Gull with carpeting inside, and I wonder if that suppresses a lit bit of noise.

I'm having a custom front seat covering/pad
made by a company called Oregon Aero.
When it is done I'll share my experience.

The seat is designed to work with the standard fiberglass seat
for the JT2. It will consist of a set of pads
and a fabric covering.

I'm also reinforcing the existing fiberglass
seat with Kevlar to make the seat more
likely to survive a crash.

I know them, I bought a mike muff from them a couple of years ago, and talked to them again this last Arlington Fly-in, and about covering mine. I don't remember what the price would be, as the biggest obstacle was not having a seat for a couple of weeks, and keeping me grounded, and since it was in the middle of summer, I conveniently forgot about those days, (weeks?), and right now I could be real interested.
Keep us informed, and Kevlar? Do keep us informed.

Hi Kess
The seat covers are leather and they were costem made and i dont know were
from.
The carpet is boat carpet with out backing ind is light weight. it only
adds about 5 lb. the normal carpit adds at least twice that.

Kess,

Yes, the seats are leather and they seem to still be in new condition.
On hot days I would perfer the cloth seats as the leather can get hot on the legs if you're wearing shorts.
