Oooooooh, I'm sorry Fred, it must be old-timer's disease, 'CRF', can't remember sh--t. I even saw him again today. I'm making a note now to see him again Wednesday and take that picture to post.

Hi alI
I have some pictures of a recent installation of a parachute in an Odyssey,
it is a 1050# BRS.
The Odyssey and Gull 2000 models are designed to have the parachute in the
nose were it acts as a counterweight for the engine allowing the plane too
park on all 3 wheels wen the pilot or passenger is out of the plane. it
also allows for 0-0 deployment, meaning 0 altitude and 0 airspeed. you can
deploy the shoot at any speed and altitude and have the best opportunity for a
successful save. the bridal is glued to the door hinge with silicone and
than it is raped around the main spar and can also be extended to the
landing gear for extra security.
The parachute pushes off the blow out hatch on the top of the nose and goes
up and to the left and just a little bit forward. It is important to not
have the parachute go to much forward since the plane will run in to it.
Happy Flying

Ya-Bah Da-Dah Dew (I can say that because my name is Fred)
Thanks a million Kess for the pictures.
How in the world did it all fit in there?
Don't want to be a pain (again) but I can't picture what goes on inside the plane under the parachute.
Could you get more detail pictures shot from the inside.
Thanks Kess (I owe you one.)

Thanks Mark
Thats a really nice installation in the photos.
Do you mind if we start a folder in photos where we can upload any pictures you provide?
We could call it say "Factory Support" or something like that.
Thanks
Fred

I know a Chute extra insurance, but do you really need one? I have not noticed chutes in most of the photos of the Odyssey for instance. If there is good structural integrity and you don't fly into IMC conditons isn't it un-necessary?
