Dave,

There is no question in my case. The wing is definately slightly out of
square with the fuselage.

Yeah, like I said. I should just listen to Mark and shim the flap. I don't
know why I don't... :-). I guess it's just that I would rather fly it that
tweak it... :-)

Why not just a simple aileron rim tab on one of the
ailerons? Mine had about a 4" long tab on the outer
end of the right aileron, with about a 1" extension
hanging out in the breeze. Adjusting the tab during a
couple of flights ended the slight roll. Simple, cheap,
and it works on a TG or a Bonanza.

They're little plates below the wingtips that help out roll rate. I've seen
them on aerobatic planes, too.

George, I guess that I have the opposite problem. While I really
love to fly, I also love to "tweak". :-) That is why I was asking
earlier about the possibility of removing the wing at the field and
storing the plane at home during the work week. With the plane at a
field 50 miles from home my usual weekend decision is to fly or to
tweak, and tweaking usually looses. :-)

No. 1/2 degree of too much FLAPS on one side.

Correct. Unless the aileron spade was not adjusted correctly, then it would
affect the aileron, causing the roll.

Exactly. I have to drive 45 minutes to get to the hanger. So my decision is
fly or tweak. As with you, tweak usually loses out. Actually tweak ALWAYS
loses out, only required maintenance overrides flying...:-) If I brought it
home, which I could since I do have a trailer for it, then I could tweak it,
but taking the wing off is a pain in the butt. It's not a BIG pain, but I'd
rather fly than tweak... :-)

JD has the luxury of walking out from his house to the hanger next door. I
might tweak allot more in that case also...:-)

Ah, now I got you. Why not just shim the other flap to the same position?

So is the spade attached to the wing or the aileron?

If you don't have spades, flaps could surely take the left roll out.
