Just looked at the picture. Doesn't look horrible. Has it been changed?
Been a while since I looked so I wouldn't recognize a recent change.
What is the beef?

Re: Could one of you mediators please change the picture!
Aye, Aye; seen that biker picture up on the "long ez" group too
wonder if the ultragull flew like a "pou de ceil"? i am very impressed by the "parachutal descent" idea instead of tipping down like in a stall in a staggered twin wings like dragonfly design. The pou du ceil was two axis without pedals. read somewhere the ultragull had a 40mtr takeoff roll! could the twin rudders be used as airbrakes, both swinging outwards after landing?

Is this what the rest of you are seeing? I'm reading about bikers, and
other stuff that I just am not seeing. What is this one (confused) member
missing ;).

Hello Allen,
Sorry for the late post. I’ve been off line awhile, skiing in SLC. Now, as you requested, here is my story: The new picture on the Earthstar Group page is one I took of Jim C. when he owned N531JC. We were on the way to the Flying Tiger fly-in at Worthington Springs, FL on Dec 2, 2006 (see below for link to pictures ).
Jim bought the plane from Mark at Earthstar in 2002. He picked it up in California and flew it across the U.S. to it's new home in Thomasville, GA. Jim and I flew to fly-ins for many years, Jim in his Gull and me in my Challenger II. I was always impressed with the speed and fuel economy of the Gull with it's HKS 700E engine. He let me fly it a couple times and the handling was great. Then in June 2009 when Jim decided to let it go, I purchased it. I haven’t had the time to fly as much as I would like but have put 300 hours on, and did fly to Oshkosh 2012. Hope to put many more hours on this flying season. The plane is now happily hangerd in Quitman, GA (4J5).
